Patterns

Loom band patterns.
Lol it was suggested we use beads and make a pattern bracelet or necklace today for OM maths...so loom bands for lessons.
Ds started to stress out he didn't know how to do it...but once we lined them up he was fine.
Dd started off well but then ran out of the colours she wanted. Oh well
OM also suggested I ask ds to write in salt or rice his numbers... I got way more intrest and less worry about getting it wrong. Very cool...but don't want over use it.

Lol then all of them could hardly wait till time to play minecraft. The little ones really had to stick up for them selves...was a very loud session...poor aunty had a few lessons on osalots (spelling?) and ender dragons.

Snow day

We walked up to the hut only about 40mins. We made a family snow man.
First time ds has been understanding the idea of warm clothes. He put on a jumper lol. He's been wearing shoes.

I hope the trampers on the hut enjoy our snow man...dd wanted him to welcome people in.

Bird recovery centre

This bird didn't need rescue but Ds loved her and wanted a hug...she did not indulge him.
Lots of lovely kids waiting to pat sparky
Ds log and mates
Listening to the talking tui
Dd very very tired but managed to hang in long enough to have a pat.

Mini hot air bloon

Dd wanted to make a mini hot air balloon to lift Rusty her beloved 'pet'
So on to YouTube we went
We tried the tea bag one but it didn't work. So we tried the large tissue paper with candles...that didn't work either but we had heaps of fun.

Sports such a kiwi thing

We live in a small village and as with most small places in NZ sports really pulls us all together. It's been a challange not doing things like rugby, hockey, karate. Non contact sports can be hard to find.
But we are so lucky to have some wonderful gym classes avalible. Both dd and ds LOVE gym.
We also have circus school which is very physical.
During the summer months we have "surf life rescue" which runs on the weekend and we have yet to do.
The possibility of golf this coming term is also an exciting option.
We do have to drive a ways for swimming but as all three of us have bleeding disorders it too great a sport for us not to do.
